Quick facts about our wheelie bins project

Quick facts about Wheelie bins

Cape Agulhas Municipality is proud to announce that we are in the process of rolling out wheelie bins to the whole CAM area.  A wheelie bin will be provided by the municipality to every address.

The wheelie bin project is financed through an external loan.  These bins will remain an asset/property of Cape Agulhas Municipality for the next four years.  Residents are responsible for the safe keeping of these wheelie bins.

Quick fact: 1

QUESTION: Will I receive a wheelie bin?

ANSWER: Yes, a wheelie bin will be provided by the municipality to every address.  We ask that residents will be patient as we roll out this project.

QUESTION: Why have I not received a wheelie bin, when everyone else in my street has received one?

ANSWER: We would love to deliver a wheelie bin to your address, however you have to be at home to sign for the wheelie bin.  Please contact our Solid Waste Department at 028 425 5500 or email WalterL@capeagulhas.gov.za to make arrangements.

QUESTION: Will Cape Agulhas Municipality provide me with black bags if my area has not yet been provided with wheelie bins?

ANSWER: Yes, black bags will be provided to residents in those areas that are yet to receive wheelie bins.  Napier will be the last town to receive wheelie bins, we started at our coastal towns and we are working our way inland.
