Published: 16 May 2019Title: Kennisgewing wat besware teen die Aanvullende Waardasielys 2018/19 aanvraStatus: KENNISGEWING WAT BESWARE TEEN DIE AANVULLENDE WAARDASIELYS AANVRA Kennis geskied hiermee kragtens die bepalings van Artikel 49 (1)(a)(i) van die Wet op Plaaslike Regering: Munisipale Eiendomsbelasting, 6 van 2004 (hierna verwys as die “Wet”) dat die Aanvullende Waardasielys vir die 2018/19 finansiële jaar ter insae lê vir openbare inspeksie by die onderskeie munisipale kantore en biblioteke binne die munisipale grense asook die webtuiste www.capeagulhas.gov.za vanaf 27 Mei 2019 tot 28 Junie 2019. KENNISGEWING geskied voorts dat enige eienaar van vaste eiendom of enige ander persoon kragtens die bepalings van Artikel 49(1)(a)(ii) van vermelde Wet, saamgelees met Artikel 78(2), ’n beswaar binne bovermelde tydperk kan indien by die Munisipale Bestuurder ten opsigte van enige aangeleentheid of uitsluitsel rakende die eiendomswaardasielys. Aandag word spesifiek gevestig op die bepalings van Artikel 50(2) van die Wet wat bepaal dat ’n beswaar na ’n spesifieke eiendom moet verwys en nie teen die waardasielys as sulks nie. Die voorgeskrewe beswaarvorms is beskikbaar by die kantore op Bredasdorp, Struisbaai en Napier asook op die webwerf. Die voltooide vorms moet terugbesorg word aan Me Carmen Leonard, Kaap Agulhas Munisipaliteit, Posbus 51, Bredasdorp, 7280. Published: 16 May 2019Title: Notice calling for inspection of Supplementary Valuation Roll 2018-19Status: NOTICE CALLING FOR INSPECTION OF SUPPLEMENTARY VALUATION ROLL Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 49(1)(a)(i) of the Local Government: Municipal Property Rates Act, 6 of 2004 that the Supplementary Valuation Roll for the 2018/19 financial year lies open for public inspection at the various municipal offices and libraries within the municipal boundaries and municipal website www.capeagulhas.gov.za from 27 May 2019 to 28 June 2019. NOTICE is further given in terms of Section 49(1)(a)(ii) of the Act, read with Section 78(2), that any owner of property or other person who so desires, may lodge an objection with the Municipal Manager in respect of any matter reflected in, or omitted from the valuation roll within the above mentioned period. Attention is specifically drawn to the fact that in terms of Section 50(2) of the Act, an objection must be in relation to a specific property and not against the valuation roll as such. DIRECTOR MANAGEMENT SERVICES

Remuneration: All-inclusive annual remuneration as per Government Gazette 42023 dated on 08 November 2018. Local Government: Upper limits of total remunerations packages payable to Municipal Managers and Managers directly accountable to Municipal Managers. An annual total package from minimum, midpoint to maximum: R 811 416 – R 911 704 – R 1011 991.

(10 year fixed term contract)

Minimum requirements: A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences/Public Administration/Law or equivalent •  A valid Code B driver’s license • SA Citizenship • A minimum of 5 years’ experience at senior management level in the following focus areas; Human Settlements, Library Services, Protection Services, Resorts, Parks and Recreation • Compliance with the MFMA: Minimum Competency Levels in unit standards as per Government Notice No 29967 of June 2007 and Government Notice No 21, Gazette 37245 of 17 January 2014 •  A person who does not meet the minimum competency levels in unit standards will be given an opportunity to attain the minimum competency levels within 18 months of date of appointment • Registration with a relevant, recognised professional body will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities: Report directly to the Municipal Manager • Manage the Management Services department • Support and advise the Municipal Manager and Council • Responsible for the following functions: Human Settlements - Traffic and licensing, Disaster Management, Fire and emergency services •  Provide strategic management and leadership for the department •  Manage and improve departmental administrative functions • Develop and implement council policies and strategies  • Compile and manage departmental budget • Ensure legislative compliance of relevance to the department • Manage and maintain recreational facilities, cemeteries, libraries and parks • Manage and maintain municipal resorts and buildings • Manage all related grants allocated to the municipality • Ensure community participation on matters of governance • Provide strategic leadership in the department.
